  About Awakenings Espresso Café
Our motto is "It's Not Just about Coffee". We serve tasty treats, home baked and delicious, as well as delightful lunch items. Our specialties include Mama Jane's cookies, her classics being chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and peanut butter. Our ever-expanding food line includes blueberry muffins with a streusel topping, bagels, and other yummy pastry items. If you are looking for a more hearty breakfast, we now offer a ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a flaky croissant. Regular items include soups, Jane's Awesome Chicken Salad Wrap, and Panini sandwiches. Awakenings is proud to announce that we have joined with Debbie from Sisters' 3. We now sell Debbie's pies and cakes. Loaf breads are available for order for the holidays. We also have lots of Debbie's treats for sale, like her Italian Egg Biscuits, sugar-free chocolate chip cookies and chocolate-dipped biscotti. It's also about community, being in it, supporting it and creating it. Local musical talent plays here. Local artists display their works, exhibitions changing on a monthly basis. In the warmer months, patrons enjoy the Canal Street Courtyard. This magical space behind the café was created by Robert Sawyer and is accessed through the businesses of the 50 to 62 Canal Street building. This oasis of peace and harmony has a deck, brick patio, custom art wrought iron fence and flowerbeds. Come and experience the joy!
